    Welcome to the first ever Contrado design competition. To kick off what we hope will be the first of many contests to push your creativity, and to celebrate our beautiful ever-changing world; we are looking at Transition. We want you to create a design based on your interpretation of what the word “transition” means to you, for your chance to win some mega prizes.


    Whether you are a painter, a designer, a fine artist, a surface print designer, a photographer, an illustrator… or anything else, we want YOU to get involved! No matter what your background or level is, we want to see your designs, what “transition” means to you and for you to inspire us.


    The theme is totally open to your creative interpretation. All you need to do is design a repeat pattern for fabric based on what “transition” means to you. From colour gradients to political change, from seasons to sexuality, from physical journeys to personal ones; there are no boundaries, so let your interpretation and your creativity run wild.


    What do I need to do?

    To enter our Transition design competition is so easy, simply follow these steps:

    · Read the competition brief above and create your design

    · Upload your design following the on-screen instructions and enter your design

    · Keep your fingers crossed that you will be one of our winners


    What can I win?

    There will be 3 winners chosen; first, second and third place. For information on the prizes, please check the "Prizes" tab.


    When is the contest running?

    The competition will run from 19th February 2018 - 19th March 2018. All designs entered remain the property of the respective owners. For more info please see our T&Cs.


    How do we choose the winners?

    Our expert designer panel will choose the 3 winning designs, based on the entrant’s interpretation of the design brief. Remember, it does not matter what level you are – student, professional or anything in between or either side. The basis of the winning prizes will be all about what “transition” means to you.


    When will the winners be announced?

    We will announce the winners on our blog and social media once the contest has ended and the winners chosen. We will also be contacting the winners by email.

    Every entrant will receive a unique discount code for 15% off your next order at Contrado (T&C apply). This will be emailed out once the contest is over.
    Our expert judging panel will be choosing a first, second, and third place winner.

    · The competition will close at 23:59 (GMT) on 19th March 2018

    · All uploaded designs remain the property of their respective owners. Contrado will not resell uploaded designs. We reserve the right to use images entered in the competition for promotional purposes and for social media

    · The contest is free to enter. To enter without purchase, simply submit your design via the instructions on this page

    · For the purpose of this competition, you will be unable to use any copyrighted images in your design and will therefore be banned from taking part in the competition if found using any that are not yours

    · No offensive designs will be allowed

    · By completing the competition, you agree to have your submitted details supplied to Contrado and will receive marketing material via Contrado

    · Only one entry per person

    · Based on questions we receive, we may post modifications or clarifications and correspondence to the requirements on the blog, Facebook or Twitter during the days leading up to the deadline, so please check back periodically

    · The winners will be selected by our expert panel and the prizes will not be exchangeable or refundable

    · The 15% discount cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts

    · The delivery of your prizes is free; shipping charges may apply in certain areas

    · Any entry into the competition will be taken as acceptance of the terms and conditions
