About Your Custom Wood Blocks

Printing on wooden blocks transfers your designs onto a 24 mm thick, birch plywood block in full, glorious colour. Each of the custom wood blocks is freestanding and can be printed and displayed in either portrait or landscape orientation. There are five different sizes to choose from, including two square options, so you can choose the perfect canvas for your designs. Each block has its own unique visible natural grain, textures and patterning so no two are ever exactly the same.

How Printing on Wooden Blocks is Done

We use a digital printing process that bonds the inks deep into the fibres of your custom wooden blocks. Each block is 24mm thick, which is just under an inch, which allows your prints to be freestanding.

Design Tips

We don't use any white inks in our process for digitally printing on wooden blocks. This means that any white areas will remain unprinted and the natural grain of the custom wooden blocks will be visible in your design. This gives a beautiful rustic character to your design. If you were to use a black and white design or image, then the end result would similar to that of a sepia tone photograph. 

Each individual block is unique, so the grain, texture and ridge pattern will vary from piece to piece. Each and every one of the custom wooden blocks is like a fingerprint with no two ever being the same.

How can I display my custom wood blocks?

All five size options of your custom wood blocks are 24 mm thick, which means they are freestanding. The large square option can also be wall-mounted if you would prefer to hang it instead.

How do I clean my printing on wooden blocks?

Custom wood blocks are super easy to clean. Should they get dusty, all you need to do is give the surface a quick wipe down with a lint-free cloth. If necessary you can also use a mild soapy water solution.

How do I wall mount the large square option?

Large printing on wooden blocks is supplied with a wall plug and screw. There is already a 10mm hole drilled into the back of your custom wood blocks which is the ideal size for the supplied fittings.
