Sewing Machine Mechanic

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform checking, repairing, servicing and maintaining machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures to ensure machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably in line with company standards and procedures
  • Utilise tools, knowledge and experience to undertake tasks with effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Communicate actions to relevant stakeholders including managers, supervisors and Machine Operators; highlighting any areas of concern that could result in ongoing operational issues.
  • To maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Assist on CNC machines and maintenance whenever required.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned to meet the varying needs of the business.
  • Operate in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and legislative requirements.

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • Previous experience of Sewing machine maintenance is essential.
  • You will have knowledge and experience of working with and repairing industrial sewing machine brands such as Juki, Brother, durkopp Adler and Pfaff.
  • Experience with machine processes and configurations such as, single and twin needles on both post and flat machines and overlook
  • Experience as maintenance and should be able to operate CNC machines. experience with processes such as French binding, would be an advantage.
  • The ability to communicate at all levels in a clear and professional manner
  • A good understanding of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems would be advantageous.
