My pattern called Sylph looks just perfect on this crushed velour pencil skirt. The colours are sophisticated and sultry, in shades of yellow, green, mauve, black, and lilac. These shades are a far cry from the original pink tones of the real flower that I painted in watercolour, but I wanted to experiment with different colour palettes, of which this is one. A pretty, pale, knitted jumper, or camisole, would look fantastic with it, as would either high heels or smart flats. A fabulous, smart look for any time of the year.
