What started out as a watercolour I painted of some foxgloves in my garden last year has now become, to my delight, one of my favourite collection designs. After photographing it and altering the flowers a little in Paint.net I used another graphics programme called Filter Forge, to construct an interesting tiling pattern. I wanted to make the backdrop plain to emphasize the beauty of the flowers. It is also this factor, plus the use of a fabric with a sheen, that enables the moonlight haze to be visible.
