I have taken my inspiration for the gorgeous pattern on this wonderfully shaped bag, from a Japanese style of art. This style breaks down forms, such as leaves, into their basic shape so that they can look almost geometrical. Then, an outline in contrasting colour is used to surround the form. In this case, I have found a Hawthorn leaf, of which the Japanese version is used in Bonsai creation. I made an image of it which I coloured in Paint.net, then used Filter Forge to arrange and colour the image, giving me a range of different options. Here, I have used dark pink, pale pink, light blue, lilac, and pale apricot. Simple yet sublime. Friends will envy you.
