When I started painting these adorable Foxgloves in watercolour last year, the sky would have been similar to the turquoise we see in my pattern, called Morning. I used a loose style to maintain the freshness and a sense of the present. The unconventional repeat pattern, with Foxgloves seen at strange angles to each other, also makes the design more modern and exciting. Areas of light have fallen upon and around the beautiful, goblet shaped flowers, and it is this that prompted the pattern title, Moonlight. This is a really stunning hot water bottle, and it features solid dusky pink on the reverse side. Pink, mauve, red, khaki, ochre, and pale yellow are other colours seen in the main design.
