My great, great grandfather Selmar Schonland (1860 - 1940) was a Botanist in South Africa. He was the founder of the Botany Department at Rhodes University, Grahamstown and was appointed curator of The Albany Museum Herbarium in 1889. This design is a tribute to him and products are available to purchase from my Contrado store :) All artwork is hand painted by Lucinda Kidney.
