    Calling all pattern designers, illustrators, fine artists, and creatives from all walks of life. Whatever your artistic practice: we want to see your most unique artworks and designs cover our classic canvas shoes.

    Step up to the challenge of designing beautiful summer footwear in our latest design competition. Summer is about to kick off and we’re getting ready by inspiring artists and designers with our fully customisable espadrilles.

    Think about how you can make use of each section of fabric and fit your design to the shape of the product. You can design each shoe (left and right) individually so make the most of this creative control. Add an insole to strengthen the personality of your product.

    We want to see how you transform your artworks into a beautiful product. We can’t wait to see the huge range of summer motifs, tropical trends, and vacation visuals.


    What do I need to do?

    Entering our Espadrilles design competition is so easy, simply follow these steps:

    • Read the competition brief above and create your design
    • Upload your design following the on-screen instructions and enter your design
    • Keep your fingers crossed, and hope that you will be one of our winners

    What can I win?

    There will be 3 winners chosen; first, second and third place. For information on the prizes, please check the "Prizes" tab.


    When is the contest running?

    The competition will run from 14th May until 11th June at 23:59. All designs entered remain the property of the respective owners. For more info please see our T&Cs.


    How do we choose the winners?

    Our expert designer panel will choose the 3 winning designs, based on the entrant’s interpretation of the design brief. Remember, it does not matter what level you are – student, professional or anything in between or either side. The basis of the winning prizes will be all about how you apply your design to our product.


    When will the winners be announced?

    We will announce the winners on our blog and social media once the contest has ended and the winners chosen. We will also be contacting the winners by email.

    • 1st Prize: £150 Contrado gift vouchers PLUS your design on our Espadrilles PLUS a fabric swatch pack.
    • 2nd Prize: £100 Contrado gift vouchers PLUS your design on our Espadrilles PLUS a fabric swatch pack.
    • 3rd Prize: £50 Contrado gift vouchers PLUS your design on our Espadrilles PLUS a fabric swatch pack.

    • The competition will close at 23:59 (GMT) on June 11, 2018.
    • All uploaded designs remain the property of their respective owners. Contrado will not resell uploaded designs. We reserve the right to use images entered in the competition for promotional purposes and for social media
    • The contest is free to enter. To enter without purchase, simply submit your design via the instructions on this page
    • For the purpose of this competition, you will be unable to use any copyrighted images in your design and will therefore be banned from taking part in the competition if found using any that are not yours
    • No offensive designs will be allowed
    • By completing the competition, you agree to have your submitted details supplied to Contrado and will receive marketing material via Contrado
    • Only one entry per person
    • Based on questions we receive, we may post modifications or clarifications and correspondence to the requirements on the blog, Facebook or Twitter during the days leading up to the deadline, so please check back periodically
    • The winners will be selected by our expert panel and the prizes will not be exchangeable or refundable
    • The delivery of your prizes is free; shipping charges may apply in certain areas
    • Any entry into the competition will be taken as acceptance of the terms and conditions
