The genuine Zippo® custom printed lighter has a hinged lid case featuring the distinctive Zippo® 'click'. It's windproof, allowing you to spark up come rain or shine, and the flame is extinguished when the lid is closed. Presented in a smart presentation box and made from brushed metal, these custom lighters are classy accessories that show off your individuality. The inks are semi-transparent and we layer white under your print so that you can see your image beautifully with no silver show-through, and your Zippo® has a matte finish on the print.

How it's Made and Printed

Each Zippo® custom printed lighter is made in the US from a high quality brass which then dipped into nickel for a smooth finish. Your designs are printed onto a white layer on the brushed custom zippo lighter case, using Contrado's specialist metal ink transfer application process. This produces a scratch-resistant print which will stand up to normal wear and tear. The wick and flint come included, and the actual lighter can be removed from the encasing to refill with lighter fluid and replace the flint. The custom zippo lighter is presented in an original presentation box, seated in a moulded enclosure to protect the surface from scratches. Clean with a dry cloth only.

Design Your Own Lighter Tips

Your designs are printed across the hinged lid opening, so please take this into account when positioning your images to ensure you're happy with where the custom printed lighter will flip open and distort your design. Of course, when the lid is shut, the finish is flawless and the lid opening can barely be seen. When you make your own lighter, please bear in mind that white areas of your design will be unprinted. However we do spray the print area lighter with a white surface before printing.  

Your custom lighters, US-made and UK printed to order, fall under the famous Zippo lifetime guarantee. The majority of the internal parts are consumables and can be replaced (examples include the flint, spring, wadding and wick). The specialised printing can last and last as long as you care for your custom lighter, UK printed, correctly. Only put in your pocket if it won't be with keys or sharp objects. Do not let the personalised lighter fluid splash onto the area that you have designed. The printing is durable and will resist scratching, but it is possible to mark it if too much force or pressure is applied or if sharp objects are used.

How do I fill my personalised lighter?

Your Zippo® personalised lighter comes unfilled due to safety, but a wick and flint are included. Please refer to Care Instructions above where you can find a link to our step-by-step guide with instructions and safety precautions.

Where is my design printed on personalised lighters?

Your design is printed onto the personalised front of the lighter (hinge left), including the body and the lid. Single-sided print that covers the entirety of the font of the custom lighters. You may see that there is some bleed around the edges.

Will my custom made lighter scratch?

Your Zippo® custom lighter is scratch resistant, not entirely scratch proof. It will stand up to normal wear and tear, being in pockets or handbags, but we would advise that you avoid scratching it with sharp objects.Clean with a dry cloth only.
