We are looking for someone special to help us with our Office and HR management. Office admin will be 20% and HR work 80%.

What you’ll be doing…

Work includes assisting managers in the identification of staff vacancies in IT, web development, online marketing, and production. Includes preparation of job descriptions, internal and external advertisements, shortlisting, interviews reference requests, eligibility to work in the UK, preparation of offer letters and contracts of employment. All recruitment to be carried out in line with company standards. Source new, specialist staff from LinkedIn or other sources, use recruitment agencies as and when required, negotiate competitive terms and conditions, continually evaluate and monitor all recruitment services provided. Provide prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities and employee benefits. Support Managers in employee relation issues, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, in line with company policy. Review organisations policies and procedures to ensure they comply with current and future legislation and when required recommend changes. Onboarding, plan and conduct new employee induction to foster a positive attitude towards organisational objectives, best business culture. Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems. Help promote and coordinate employee engagement and communication across all levels of the business. Maintain records and information about employees, and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, secondments, performance appraisals, annual leave, absenteeism rates, etc.

Overall responsibility for the in-house time card and holiday booking system, ensuring up to date with all legislation and that employee records are accurate, and timely updated. Coordinate and process all overtime and absenteeism to ensure accurate processing of payroll records. Maintain records and information about employee's accidents and incidents, to compile statistical reports, to analyse areas of concern and recommend improvements. On the office side, we have to arrange events, book transport, arrange meetings, book services and so on.

What you'll need to succeed

Part CIPD qualified or working towards, previous experience in a stand-alone role, and in a manufacturing environment. The ability to handle responsibility and the pressure of meeting tight deadlines, a good understanding of people and some employment law. Good numeracy and literacy skills, able to keep calm, prioritise, and make quick, clear decisions. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work on own initiative and to be flexible/adaptable.

About the Team

You will be part of the core team and working alongside all departments from senior management to Dept managers, to productions staff, copywriters, translators, analysts and designers and marketing execs (inside a company to 120 staff). We will train you.
