Product Director

The Role

Establish the Product Design Strategy & Define the Roadmap and prioritisation (Including CRO, data insights & UI/UX), ensuring the delivery and achievement of our agreed profit targets through market leading onsite CVR and platform performance.

At Contrado, we serve at the same time two distinct audiences—B2B and B2C and we want to establish a User-Centred Culture as we deeply care about our customers.

As Product Director, you will work in collaboration with the senior team to input into the overall business strategy, ensuring the Marketing and Tech departments are aligned to this to achieve/exceeds sales targets and overall profitability.

You need to have extensive eCommerce experience ideally in the fashion/tech industry. Work closely with the Marketing and Brand Design teams to understand what our brand means and suffuse it into the details of every user interaction.

Responsibilities

Defining and evangelizing the Product Vision

  • Building and nurturing the product vision within your team and company
  • Driving the communication and alignment of the Product Vision and Roadmaps with all internal stakeholders.
  • Creating relationships and building trust with a broad range of senior stakeholders across the business (CEO, Head of Sales, Engineering and Marketing leaders, cross-functional leaders).
  • Ensuring that all the product teams build and maintain a comprehensive and informed outcome-driven roadmap.
  • Providing regular updates on the OKRs and roadmaps progress.

Driving an Insights-Driven culture

  • Identifying sustainable competitive advantages across a range of use cases and driving improvements on how we run benchmarking activities.
  • Understanding the competitor landscape and industry trends across a range of use cases. Thinking proactively about competitors’ insight to uplevel the team’s thinking and to inform product strategy.
  • Defining the analysis we need, independently seeking and evaluating data insights to inform product strategy by partnering with Analytics to uncover new insights that help drive product strategy.

Driving a high-quality implementation

  • Working across multiple teams to form coherent, think big, and start small approaches.
  • Motivating your team to find creative ways to continue to ship frequently even for complex, high-dependency projects.
  • Inspiring and encouraging your team to push for a higher bar for quality across the broader system.
  • Ensuring that relevant stakeholders are aware of the upcoming rollout in a timely manner, contributing to building training materials for the teams, and leading a progressive rollout strategy if needed.
  • Getting your team to communicate releases to the company using the appropriate communication channels with a strong narrative containing rationale(s) behind the decisions taken and anticipating frequently asked questions.
  • Creating a strong relationship with marketing to update sales and marketing materials and building a coherent and appealing product marketing strategy.

Growing your team

  • Influencing: you represent the gear in company strategic meetings and strategic product meetings. You are able to drive complicated decisions where several stakeholders are involved taking into account each one point of view. You can challenge the business requirements.
  • Coaching and training: make your team grow. Make them become autonomous and impact-driven.
  • Reviewing and assessing: set clear objectives with the OKR methodology, monitoring performance regularly, and reviewing each quarter the Product Manager’s performance.

We are growing fast within a complex matrix. We need to keep up with that growth. That means building fast, and that means tradeoffs. Sometimes, the experience will be exactly as planned. Other times, we will need to take shortcuts. You will always know how to prioritize to get the best of both worlds: radical growth that finds the right tradeoff between business results and customer needs.

Must-Haves

  • Strong leadership skills proven in a changing and challenging environment. You have successfully managed Product teams and successfully managed large initiatives cross-functionally. You are able to influence the organization and to motivate your colleagues and make them grow.
  • Strategic thinker: A strong track record of successfully delivering Product vision, multi-year strategy, and transformation within a customer-centric and commercially minded business.
  • Minimum 7+ years of product management experience delivering highly successful and innovative products.
  • User-Obsessed: You are passionate about the users and have success stories on how you used continuous discovery to identify meaningful opportunities.
  • Insights Driven: You don’t take decisions without solid insights to back your assumptions and you always get the data you need to move on.
  • You have managed an international, remote tech/design team of 10+ people and brought it to outstanding levels of quality.
  • You have collaborated across the company with other teams like Tech, Marketing. Sales, Growth, Ops, Finance, General Managers, etc.
  • You have proven your ability to create a product that elegantly solves customer pain points.
