Senior Print Manager

Position Title:

  • Senior Print Manager

Overall Purpose of the role:

  • A role that sits in the heart of entire Production setup speaks the value of the opportunity. We are seeking a highly independent Senior Print Manager who is capable of building, managing and a growing team, but also hands on with sublimation, pigment, reactive and toner printers. Primarily printing fabrics, leather, vinyl, but papers and other substrates too.

Principle Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Drive efficiencies on our processes. Find ways to increase our production flow as we grow
  • Monitor the daily workflow. Align the day-to-day work of the printing team with production benchmarks. Focusing on targets
  • Oversee all print jobs. Identify the workflow process for each job, document and assign it, execute a high-quality printing process.
  • Maintain the quality / schedule of the product delivery to meet the final deadline.
  • Train and manage the print operator team.
  • Provide print production quality assurance and review entire work from concept thru delivery.
  • Coordinate with other Production departments to regular check on the Rota for the synchronised functioning.
  • Keep equipment in full working order, regularly calibrated and maintained, logged for
  • Colour calibrating, weekly test print signoff by stakeholders (CS, product teams and Directors)
  • Enforcing strict management protocols. Managing hiring, disciplinary procedure, reviews etc
  • Provide leadership, drive and attainment of targets which include reduction in waste, reduction in redo's, hitting the workflow timelines,
  • Reporting to senior management
  • Ensure print room is kept clean and tidy all time. Ensure team is doing efficient waste management.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Wide RIP software Experience beneficial (Caldera, Print Factory, Ergosoft, Onyx)
  • Experience with Fotoba, HP beneficial
  • High level of experience in volume file handling
  • Wide Format experience essential
  • Handling 15+ large format printers essential inc industrial printers
  • Practical problem solving mindset
  • Two out of Dye sublimation, Reactive, Pigment print experience essential

Years of Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leading a Print room.

Must Have:

  • Outstanding knowledge/understanding of Printers and their software
  • Strong leadership while being a people person with good communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
  • Exceptional planning and project management abilities
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask

Job Type:

  • £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
