How Your Printed Blankets are Made

Using a specialist dye sublimation process, the inks are fused deep into the Polar Fleece fibres, creating a long-lasting print that won't crack, peel or scratch away, even with repeat washing. We carefully prepare two layers of above average weight Polar Fleece (285gsm) and then lovingly stitch them together, resulting in a thick and sumptuous 570 gsm double-thick custom blanket, probably the thickest available. Handmade to order by our team of expert print technicians, talented craftsmen and artisan seamstresses, there's a genuine authenticity that radiates from your customisable blankets. We also offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee or you'll get your money back*.

Care Instructions

For the best results, machine wash at 30°c on a short spin cycle and drip dry flat without wringing out. Tumble dry on a low heat if necessary. Ironing is not required. Your custom blankets have a 10-year guarantee on print, material and stitching finish if care instructions are followed.

Design Tips

Printed edge-to-edge with your unique designs, these custom blankets, UK made to order, are a real statement feature. Design your own blanket printed on both sides, so your design is always on show; this also allows you to create two versions of your blanket. You could even choose to make your own blanket with totally contrasting design styles on either side, so you can interchange your decor at the drop of a hat, or use it for different purposes.

For a more simplistic design, print on the front only and choose from either cream, black, blue or pink for the reverse side. Whichever option you settle on when you design your own blanket, we are certain that you won't be disappointed. The exquisite Polar Fleece fabric is fire rated, fray-proof and anti-pilling, making it both outstandingly snuggly and incredibly practical. A spectacular napped texture gives this textile a smooth and fluffy handle. 

The hydrophobic nature of the fabric we use for your custom blankets means that it is ideal for all ages, and while it isn't totally waterproof, it's certainly dribble-proof. Polar Fleece is very easy to manipulate and holds its shape extremely well. The matte surface and the bright white base tone give your designs a vivid, striking colour intensity. The plush, brushed effect of the super-soft fleece softens the lines of your design, giving your custom blankets an amazingly homely, dreamy aesthetic.

Are my custom blankets durable?

Our custom blankets, UK made from Polar Fleece, are hydrophobic, meaning they repel water instead of absorbing it. It is also anti-pilling and it's fray proof, so you can rest assured that the edges remain neat and tidy. The expert printing methods we use are proven to last considerably longer and the colours to stay brighter than conventional fabric printing techniques.

Is it machine washable?

Absolutely, so there's no need to worry about extra maintenance. Simply machine wash at 30°c on a short spin for best results. Hang to drip dry and do not wring it out. The luxurious Polar Fleece is anti-creasing so there should be no need to iron your custom blankets. The superb anti-pilling nature of this super-soft textile means that the surface won't bobble after you've washed it.

What is the difference between the shapes and sizes?

You can order your blanket in four sizes, of varying shapes. Large and square is perfect to design your own blanket as a feature piece. Large custom blankets, UK made, are the ultimate comfort. Mid-sized custom printed blankets are ideal for spectacular versatility. Design your own blanket in a small size, ideal for children or great for portability. All rectangular blankets are available in both portrait or landscape.

    What's the best resolution to print in?

    We print at 200dpi, which is a good combination of quality and file weight. Ideally your image should be scaled to 100% at 200dpi, this means that no resizing of your file occurs stopping any interpolation.

    Should I save my file as a TIFF or JPEG?

    For multi-coloured or very detailed files we recommend using a tiff format, but they must be flattened. For simple colours and low detail files, a jpeg is fine.

    Which colour model should I choose? RGB or CMYK?

    If each individual colour is specifically important to your design, choose CYMK as our setup will print each colour with the closest possible match within our available range. If the relationship between the colours within the image is more important choose RGB, this will reduce all colours equally to fit within our range.

    What does GSM mean?

    Grams per Square Meter (GSM) is an international standard for measuring the weight of paper or fabric. GSM uses the weight of a square meter (1000 x 1000mm) as an indication of the weight and thickness of a given fabric. We class 20-100gsm as light (summer fabrics, gauzes and fine silks), 101-249 gsm as medium (most clothing fabrics) and 250+ gsm as heavy (upholstery fabrics, and other specialist fabrics).

    What are bleed areas?

    When designing your product, it’s best to make sure that your image is slightly larger than needed. In printing, the extra printed image is referred to as a “Bleed Area” or margin, and it is removed from the finished piece. A bleed area acts as a buffer for slight inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. however, it’s important to fill your bleed areas completely, or you may end up with white, unprinted strips along the edge of your finished product.

    Do you print on garments a customer supplies?

    Unfortunately not. All our garments are printed on flat fabric, and sewn into finished products, which gives a better finished result and all-over print. We test meticulously so that we know what gets best results on our fabrics, and our facilities cater perfectly to them. We do however print sublimation paper to order, so if you have access to a heat press you can press your fabrics or flat garments easily.

    Can you Align a Pattern or design across panels of a garment?

    We always strive for the greatest accuracy when printing and constructing your garments. However, due to unavoidable stretch or movement of the fabric during the stitching process, we cannot guarantee perfect pattern registration across garment seams. We are generally accurate within 2-3mm, which Is close enough for most patterns, but may show slight issues with detailed geometric patterns.

    Can I print my own Labels?

    Most of our garments now come with printable label space for you to add your own company information and branding! If you would like to sew in your own labels, we also offer Printed Fabric Labels here.

  • Eco friendly Printing

    How is your fabric printing eco-friendly?

    With environmental consciousness in mind, our fabrics are all printed using completely water based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used. Our heat fixing procedure fixes the colours and prints, avoiding the downsides of steaming, such as excess or contaminated water returning into the waste system. We have one facility in London where we conduct all the printing, production and fulfillment.

Delivery time & Costs

Production times

We handmake your item on site, which takes on average 1-3 days. Please check individual production times which are displayed next to the item price on the product page, as this varies from product to product. In rare cases when we need to re-print an item, this may take an additional 1-2 days.

Shipping methods

After your item has been manufactured, we ship your order via your chosen method. Please add on the production time to the delivery time to calculate when your order will be with you. Select your delivery method in your basket.

We have a range of trusted shipping options:
  • Royal Mail 1st Class Standard (no tracking) - 1-5 working days on average (please note that this can take up to 15 working days in exceptional circumstances).
  • Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded (no tracking) - Usually delivered the next working day. It is not a guaranteed next day service, or a tracked service. A signature is required. (Please note that this can take up to 15 working days in exceptional circumstances).
  • Special Delivery - Delivered the next working day
  • Saturday Delivery (deliver only on Sat)
  • Collection from our London Office (between 4-6pm on working days only)
  • For international orders or large/bulky packages within the UK, we ship via DHL or Fedex services. This takes on average 2-5 working days.
