Care instructions
Always test an offcut or sample prior to working the leather with tools, adhesives or heat. To ensure the leather print on your product is as durable as possible, we’ve worked hard refining our printing process and craftsmanship. As leather is a natural material you may notice small differences in surface and texture, as well as wrinkles, which is common to products made from natural leather. All leathers age naturally according to the usage, and this can cause the print to wrinkle or fade slightly over time. It is possible the base colour may show through the leather as it ages with wear. When not in use we recommend storing your product in a protective dust bag or box to keep your product looking its best. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, sunlight, water, and chemical cleaners to maintain a bright and long-lasting print. Avoid contact with light coloured fabrics or upholstery as the colour may transfer. Whilst a light rain shower is unlikely to harm, we recommend protecting from rain. Should your product get wet, allow to dry naturally away from direct heat. To clean surface wipe only with a damp lint free cotton cloth.

About Your Custom Cosmetic Case
Our calfskin Nappa leather is of exceptional quality and full of character. Choose a smooth or bubble textured leather to have your designs printed on, and the rest of the details will be made in smooth black Nappa to keep all the focus on your art. These details include the base of the bag, zip pulls, and tabs at the edges of the zip. You can choose gunmetal, nickel, or gold hardware to complement the undertones of your design. We'll stitch the custom cosmetic pouch together with your choice of thread colour in cream, grey or charcoal. The print itself will be fabulously reproduced in all its vibrant, colourfully detailed glory. Inside, the bag features one open compartment and is lined with our soft Suede Vision fabric in black.
The small bag measures 18cm W x 12.5cm H x 4cm D, while the large bag measures 23cm W x 16cm H x 8cm D. The small size is perfect for storing smaller cosmetics such as makeup, while the large size can accommodate a few travel-sized toiletries.

How Your Custom Cosmetic Pouch is Made
Your custom cosmetic case starts as individual leather pieces that our artisans print with your design. The printing method we use locks the inks into the material so that your design looks brilliant and is there to stay. Each piece of leather is cut to shape and size, including the smooth black Nappa for the details. We stitch the custom cosmetic pouch together using your choice of thread colour and hardware. To finish off, the edges are painted so that everything looks polished. We quality check and pack up the bags to send them to you or your customer.
Design Tips
There are two design panels on your custom cosmetic case to express your creativity. Use artwork and patterns to create something you and your customers will love. Rest assured the colours will look bold and brilliant on the leather. We advise keeping vital parts of your art towards the centre of the panel as a focal point and to prevent them from getting cut off.

What's the best resolution to print in?
We print at 200dpi, which is a good combination of quality and file weight. Ideally, your image should be scaled to 100% at 200dpi, this means that no resizing of your file occurs stopping any interpolation.

Should I save my file as a TIFF or JPEG?
For multi-coloured or very detailed files we recommend using a tiff format, but they must be flattened. For simple colours and low detail files, a jpeg is fine.

Which colour model should I choose? RGB or CMYK?
We advise providing images in the RGB colour space. Specifically using the sRGB image profile, to achieve best colour results. What does this mean? In your editing software choose RGB as the working space, and assign the image profile as sRGB (full name sRGB IEC61966-2.1)

What does GSM mean?
Grams per Square Meter (GSM) is an international standard for measuring the weight of paper or fabric. GSM uses the weight of a square meter (1000 x 1000mm) as an indication of the weight and thickness of a given fabric. We class 20-100gsm as light (summer fabrics, gauzes and fine silks), 101-249 gsm as medium (most clothing fabrics) and 250+ gsm as heavy (upholstery fabrics, and other specialist fabrics).

What are the bleed areas?
When designing your product, it’s best to make sure that your image is slightly larger than needed. In printing, the extra printed image is referred to as a “Bleed Area” or margin, and it is removed from the finished piece. A bleed area acts as a buffer for slight inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. however, it’s important to fill your bleed areas completely, or you may end up with white, unprinted strips along the edge of your finished product.

Do you print on garments a customer supplies?
Unfortunately not. All our garments are printed on flat fabric and sewn into finished products, which gives a better, finished result and all-over print. We test meticulously so that we know what gets the best results on our fabrics, and our facilities cater perfectly to them. We do however print sublimation paper to order, so if you have access to a heat press you can press your fabrics or flat garments easily.

Can you Align a Pattern or design across panels of a garment?
We always strive for the greatest accuracy when printing and constructing your garments. However, due to unavoidable stretch or movement of the fabric during the stitching process, we cannot guarantee perfect pattern registration across garment seams. We are generally accurate within 2-3mm, which Is close enough for most patterns but may show slight issues with detailed geometric patterns.

Can I print my own Labels?
Most of our garments now come with printable label space for you to add your own company information and branding! If you would like to sew in your own labels, we also offer Printed Fabric Labels here.

How is your fabric printing eco-friendly?
With environmental consciousness in mind, our fabrics are all printed using completely water-based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used. Our heat fixing procedure fixes the colours and prints, avoiding the downsides of steaming, such as excess or contaminated water returning into the waste system. We have one facility in London where we conduct all the printing, production and fulfillment.
FAQ
Is the whole pouch made of leather?
The entire outer of the custom cosmetic case is fashioned from Nappa leather, including the tabs and zip pulls. The inner lining is made from our faux Suede Vision fabric, which is soft to the touch.
Which parts can I design?
There are two panels for you to design on the custom cosmetic pouch. Both sides of the case can be customised with your art.
What can fit in the bag?
The printed beauty case is best suited to smaller items, such as hair accessories or cosmetics such as makeup. The larger bag has more room to hold a few travel-sized products, like a little bottle of makeup remover or moisturizer for a night away.
