How To Design Your Own Lunch Bag
Make lunch time even more fun and design your own lunch bag. Printed and handmade to order in London, each lunch bag can be made in a choice of colours; black, blue, green, pink, red or yellow. The trim of the bags are made from a sturdy and durable canvas, while your designs are printed onto HD quality satin fabric. We line your lunch bag with insulation and a completely water resistant interior, so your bag won't be ruined in case of accidental leaks. You will also notice a black elasticated strap in your bag. This is to keep your food items secure and safe, and to prevent them from being squashed. Unlike many lunch bags, you have total design control with our lunch bag.

How Your Lunch Bag UK Made Is Created
We are very proud that all of our products are handmade by us in the UK. When you upload your design, it is printed onto beautifully smooth and luxurious satin fabric. Satin is a wonderful fabric to print on, thanks to its superior print qualities, and ability to reproduce fine lines and details. It is also a durable and hard-wearing fabric, which can be cleaned easily. The satin is cut and stitched together by hand, with the canvas fabric in your choice of colour. Each bag features a sturdy metal zip and a handle which is stitched into the body of the bag, and is completed with smart black piping, which gives it a real high quality finish. To ensure your food is always at its best, your lunch bag is fully insulated.
Machine wash your bag at 30 degrees, or wipe shell and interior clean with a damp cloth to mop up any stains or spills.
You can print on both the front and back of your new lunch bag. This allows you to print the same, continuing design around the whole bag, or create a completely different design for either side. Take into account the 6 different colour choices of canvas when uploading your design. You will want to ensure that the colour you choose complements your artwork. We recommend leaving a centimetre or 2 around your design to account for the stitching areas. The satin fabric that your design is printed onto is sewn into the canvas, with the piping outlining it, so make adjustments for this so none of your design is lost.
If you are planning on designing a line of lunch bags for children, or for your own child, then we suggest printing their name within the design. Their lunch bag will remain personal to them, while showing off your cool designs. Take advantage of the different colour canvases we can offer and make their lunch pop!

What's the best resolution to print in?
We print at 200dpi, which is a good combination of quality and file weight. Ideally, your image should be scaled to 100% at 200dpi, this means that no resizing of your file occurs stopping any interpolation.
Should I save my file as a TIFF or JPEG?
For multi-coloured or very detailed files we recommend using a tiff format, but they must be flattened. For simple colours and low detail files, a jpeg is fine.
Which colour model should I choose? RGB or CMYK?
If each individual colour is specifically important to your design, choose CYMK as our setup will print each colour with the closest possible match within our available range. If the relationship between the colours within the image is more important, choose RGB, this will reduce all colours equally to fit within our range.
What does GSM mean?
Grams per Square Meter (GSM) is an international standard for measuring the weight of paper or fabric. GSM uses the weight of a square meter (1000 x 1000mm) as an indication of the weight and thickness of a given fabric. We class 20-100gsm as light (summer fabrics, gauzes and fine silks), 101-249 gsm as medium (most clothing fabrics) and 250+ gsm as heavy (upholstery fabrics, and other specialist fabrics).
What are the bleed areas?
When designing your product, it’s best to make sure that your image is slightly larger than needed. In printing, the extra printed image is referred to as a “Bleed Area” or margin, and it is removed from the finished piece. A bleed area acts as a buffer for slight inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. however, it’s important to fill your bleed areas completely, or you may end up with white, unprinted strips along the edge of your finished product.
Do you print on garments a customer supplies?
Unfortunately not. All our garments are printed on flat fabric and sewn into finished products, which gives a better, finished result and all-over print. We test meticulously so that we know what gets the best results on our fabrics, and our facilities cater perfectly to them. We do however print sublimation paper to order, so if you have access to a heat press you can press your fabrics or flat garments easily.
Can you Align a Pattern or design across panels of a garment?
We always strive for the greatest accuracy when printing and constructing your garments. However, due to unavoidable stretch or movement of the fabric during the stitching process, we cannot guarantee perfect pattern registration across garment seams. We are generally accurate within 2-3mm, which Is close enough for most patterns but may show slight issues with detailed geometric patterns.
Can I print my own Labels?
Most of our garments now come with printable label space for you to add your own company information and branding! If you would like to sew in your own labels, we also offer Printed Fabric Labels here.
How is your fabric printing eco-friendly?
With environmental consciousness in mind, our fabrics are all printed using completely water-based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used. Our heat fixing procedure fixes the colours and prints, avoiding the downsides of steaming, such as excess or contaminated water returning into the waste system. We have one facility in London where we conduct all the printing, production and fulfillment.
