About Custom Pencil Case UK
This custom pencil case, UK made to order, is an innovative and fun way to store your pencils, pens and other bits of stationary. Made from our customised neoprene fabric, this is a strong and durable case, which is also flexible and soft. The spongy neoprene is the ideal fabric to design your own pencil case, as it is 3mm thick and will prevent sharp points from poking through. Your designs are printed edge to edge on the front and back of the pencil case, in stunning high definition detail. There are two different size options available and the case is completed with strong metal zip, with your choice of four trim colours; black, ivory, pink, and blue. This sleek case really is as fashionable as it is functional, and is ideal for work, school, or for your home office.

How your Custom Pencil Case UK is Made
When you design your own pencil case with Contrado, you can be assured that you will receive a completely unique piece, that has been handmade specifically for you. Our skilled print technicians and seamstresses work together to ensure the perfect final product. Once you upload your designs onto the system, they are quality checked and then printed onto our flexible and strong neoprene fabric. The neoprene has a slight sheen to it, which will give your designs even more life. Our print techniques create a flawless and long-lasting finish, as we print deep into the fibres of the fabric. Seamstresses then sew the front and back of the case together in a seamless finish and add the zipper in your choice of trim colour.
To maintain the life of your custom pencil case, UK made, we recommend wiping it with a damp cloth if it gets dirty or dusty. Alternatively, you can pop it in the washing machine on a cold and delicate wash cycle.
Your custom pencil case, UK handmade to order, measures approx 20 x 12.5cm, making it landscape in design. As such, we recommend keeping this orientation in mind when creating the design for your case. Repeat patterns work particularly well, otherwise, use images that are wider rather than longer, to ensure you get the best out of your designs.

Purchased this pencil case for teenage Grand Daughter who is very fussy. She is delighted with it & I was impressed with the quality. I must also say the speed of delivery via first class mail was brilliant.
How does this product enhance my...
When you create your own pencil case, you are a step closer to being that bit more organised and tidy. These cases are perfect for adults and children alike. If you have an arty kid at home, who loves doodling and drawing wherever they go, then design a pencil case and let their passion grow. You can customise the design with paintings or drawings made by them, and even add their name or a little portrait to make it even more personal.
For airline companies, these pouches would make ideal gifts for passengers. They can be filled with complimentary treats. This would work particularly well for Business Class or First Class passengers. They can be filled with items such as mini shampoo, face wash, moisturiser, a cleaning cloth, and a mini toothbrush and toothpaste set. Upload the logo and branding of the airline onto the case, so passengers will always look back on their flight in a positive way.

Frequently asked questions:
Is the print permanent?
Yes, the print on your new pencil case is long-lasting. We use a specialist printing method where the inks are fused deep into the fibres of the material, creating a lasting finish that won't peel away or scratch off and is proven to outlast traditional printing methods.
How big is this pencil case?
Your large pencil case measures 20cm long and 12.5cm high and the small is 11cm long and 7cm high. These are the perfect sizes for everything from pens and pencils, to scissors and protractors! It is a great size to pop into your handbag, work bag or school bag.
What is it made from?
We make these cases out of our durable and flexible custom printed neoprene fabric. This fabric was chosen thanks to its thick and spongy handle, which is protective and secure, and its amazing print qualities.

What's the best resolution to print in?
We print at 200dpi, which is a good combination of quality and file weight. Ideally, your image should be scaled to 100% at 200dpi, this means that no resizing of your file occurs stopping any interpolation.
Should I save my file as a TIFF or JPEG?
For multi-coloured or very detailed files we recommend using a tiff format, but they must be flattened. For simple colours and low detail files, a jpeg is fine.
Which colour model should I choose? RGB or CMYK?
We advise providing images in the RGB colour space. Specifically using the sRGB image profile, to achieve best colour results. What does this mean? In your editing software choose RGB as the working space, and assign the image profile as sRGB (full name sRGB IEC61966-2.1)
What does GSM mean?
Grams per Square Meter (GSM) is an international standard for measuring the weight of paper or fabric. GSM uses the weight of a square meter (1000 x 1000mm) as an indication of the weight and thickness of a given fabric. We class 20-100gsm as light (summer fabrics, gauzes and fine silks), 101-249 gsm as medium (most clothing fabrics) and 250+ gsm as heavy (upholstery fabrics, and other specialist fabrics).
What are the bleed areas?
When designing your product, it’s best to make sure that your image is slightly larger than needed. In printing, the extra printed image is referred to as a “Bleed Area” or margin, and it is removed from the finished piece. A bleed area acts as a buffer for slight inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. however, it’s important to fill your bleed areas completely, or you may end up with white, unprinted strips along the edge of your finished product.
Do you print on garments a customer supplies?
Unfortunately not. All our garments are printed on flat fabric and sewn into finished products, which gives a better, finished result and all-over print. We test meticulously so that we know what gets the best results on our fabrics, and our facilities cater perfectly to them. We do however print sublimation paper to order, so if you have access to a heat press you can press your fabrics or flat garments easily.
Can you Align a Pattern or design across panels of a garment?
We always strive for the greatest accuracy when printing and constructing your garments. However, due to unavoidable stretch or movement of the fabric during the stitching process, we cannot guarantee perfect pattern registration across garment seams. We are generally accurate within 2-3mm, which Is close enough for most patterns but may show slight issues with detailed geometric patterns.
Can I print my own Labels?
Most of our garments now come with printable label space for you to add your own company information and branding! If you would like to sew in your own labels, we also offer Printed Fabric Labels here.
How is your fabric printing eco-friendly?
With environmental consciousness in mind, our fabrics are all printed using completely water-based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used. Our heat fixing procedure fixes the colours and prints, avoiding the downsides of steaming, such as excess or contaminated water returning into the waste system. We have one facility in London where we conduct all the printing, production and fulfillment.
