How your Decorative Serving Trays are Made

Your trays are formed and printed to order in London, UK by our expert print technicians. Printed edge-to-edge using our specialist printing process, your original designs won't rub off over time, peel away or scratch off. When we form the trays, we create a curved lip around the edges to prevent things from sliding off. We print all over the front and the reverse is left a plain white glossy plastic. Details and colours print sharply, giving your tray a high-definition look and feel.

Care Instructions

Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth, rinse and dry by hand. Please do not put in the dishwasher. The print won't peel with washing, and we give a three-year guarantee on print, and product structure.

Design Tips

For designs with fine details, try to keep the important features away from the edges to avoid the lip distorting your image. These decorative serving trays are such a smart way to present your artwork or branding. Incorporate branded trays into the workplace and impress clients with their own tray for pens, coffee etc. Design themed decorative serving trays for different occasions, such as weddings, birthdays, summer, Christmas etc.

How does this product enhance my...

  • Home

You could design them to harmonise with your existing crockery and placemats, or customise each tray with a family member's name. They are robust, shatterproof and your photos look stunning.

  • Business

Catering companies can use all 4 sizes of the plastic tray to promote their branding and logos. At events or conferences with several other hospitality outlets, customers will easily be able to identify your brand. The small tray is also perfect for business merchandise, and ensures your office looks smart and professional at all times.

  • Design Brand

The kitchen and homeware market is huge, so don't miss out on a piece of this pie and design your own range of trays to sell, all printed with your original artwork. If you have 4 prints in a collection, for example, you can offer this as a bundle, so customers get a set of different but aesthetically cohesive dinner trays.

Frequently asked questions:

Are these trays durable?

They're made from hygienic, 3.25mm thick scratchproof plastic, and are seriously robust and long lasting. We offer a 3 year guarantee on the print and product structure.

Will my design peel with washing?

Your tray is printed using technical dye sublimation, which fuses the ink to the material. This means your design won't scratch off or peel away, even with continued washing.

Are they easy to clean?

The glossy, wipe clean surface means they're incredibly low maintenance. Whilst they're not dishwasher safe, all they need is a rinse and wipe down with a damp, soapy cloth.

Print Guideline

  • DPI-Print Guideline Icon

What's the best resolution to print in?

We print at 200dpi, which is a good combination of quality and file weight. Ideally, your image should be scaled to 100% at 200dpi, this means that no resizing of your file occurs stopping any interpolation.

  • Jpeg-Tiff Print Guideline Icon

Should I save my file as a TIFF or JPEG?

For multi-coloured or very detailed files we recommend using a tiff format, but they must be flattened. For simple colours and low detail files, a jpeg is fine.

  • RGB-CMYK Print Guideline Icon

Which colour model should I choose? RGB or CMYK?

If each individual colour is specifically important to your design, choose CYMK as our setup will print each colour with the closest possible match within our available range. If the relationship between the colours within the image is more important, choose RGB, this will reduce all colours equally to fit within our range.

  • GSM ICON

    What does GSM mean?

Grams per Square Meter (GSM) is an international standard for measuring the weight of paper or fabric. GSM uses the weight of a square meter (1000 x 1000mm) as an indication of the weight and thickness of a given fabric. We class 20-100gsm as light (summer fabrics, gauzes and fine silks), 101-249 gsm as medium (most clothing fabrics) and 250+ gsm as heavy (upholstery fabrics, and other specialist fabrics).

  • Fill Bleed Areas ICON

    What are the bleed areas?

When designing your product, it’s best to make sure that your image is slightly larger than needed. In printing, the extra printed image is referred to as a “Bleed Area” or margin, and it is removed from the finished piece. A bleed area acts as a buffer for slight inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. however, it’s important to fill your bleed areas completely, or you may end up with white, unprinted strips along the edge of your finished product.

  • Transfer-Print Guideline Icon

Do you print on garments a customer supplies?

Unfortunately not. All our garments are printed on flat fabric and sewn into finished products, which gives a better, finished result and all-over print. We test meticulously so that we know what gets the best results on our fabrics, and our facilities cater perfectly to them. We do however print sublimation paper to order, so if you have access to a heat press you can press your fabrics or flat garments easily.

  • Pattern Alignment Across Seams ICON

Can you Align a Pattern or design across panels of a garment?

We always strive for the greatest accuracy when printing and constructing your garments. However, due to unavoidable stretch or movement of the fabric during the stitching process, we cannot guarantee perfect pattern registration across garment seams. We are generally accurate within 2-3mm, which Is close enough for most patterns but may show slight issues with detailed geometric patterns.

  • print label option icon

Can I print my own Labels?

Most of our garments now come with printable label space for you to add your own company information and branding! If you would like to sew in your own labels, we also offer Printed Fabric Labels here.

  • Eco friendly Printing

How is your fabric printing eco-friendly?

With environmental consciousness in mind, our fabrics are all printed using completely water-based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used. Our heat fixing procedure fixes the colours and prints, avoiding the downsides of steaming, such as excess or contaminated water returning into the waste system. We have one facility in London where we conduct all the printing, production and fulfillment.

Please note: As everything we provide is handmade to order, all measurements may vary slightly.
